Hello lovelies! I hope everyone has had an awesome Spring Break! I know I have! For Spring Break I traveled to New York City, this was my second time going and I fell in love with this city even more. Here is all the adventures Alex and I went on, also some places you should go to if you ever go to New York and a little tour guide! I know this is a long read but totally worth it! (You can click on the pictures to look through the gallery)

Day 1:

We left Monday morning at 5:10 am which was super early, we seriously did not go to sleep the night before. Our flight was not a direct flight to New York. We had about a 30 minute layover in Chicago and then arrived in NYC at about 11:30 am. When we first arrived we were trying to figure out the best way to get to our hotel. Uber was the best choice at the moment and was much cheaper than taxi, it was $30 for an Uber. Next time we will be taking the subway though which is the best and cheapest option for leaving and arriving to the airport and seriously in general while traveling around the city. So once in the hotel we checked in early and our hotel was so cute and small, it was NYC style which I loved about it. The rest of the day we spent shopping because you can't go to NYC without shopping! We also went to Times Square and did some shopping there and most of the shopping was done on 5th Avenue. At night, we went to the Empire State Building, which FYI before going to NYC make sure to buy all of your sight seeing adventures online, it is much cheaper that way. The Empire State Building was truly amazing and it was freezing outside but a great experience!

Day 2:

It was snowing and freezing Tuesday, but it was so cool to finally see real snow! For breakfast we ate at Buvette and they have the best waffles. There menus and tables were so tiny it was such a cool place to eat at and I totally recommend them! We then used the subway to go to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Both of these places were such a great experience and so fun to walk around and see. After this, we ate at Clinton Hall, there food was pretty good but the dessert was the best part. They have this dessert called "WTF Waffles" and the name explains them completely. It was enormous but delicious! After this we went to the 9/11 Memorial which was pretty emotional! Then went into the World Trade Center which is a Mall!! That was the best part, it was a very unique building as well, you can see how it looks in image 13! After this we went back to the hotel to freshen up for Carnegie Hall. Carnegie Hall was gorgeous and the Orchestra played beautifully. For dinner Alex took me to Gallaghers, this is the perfect New York style restaurant, it also is very pricey! The food was absolutely delicious, I wish I could have more! The environment in the restaurant was also very lively, it was perfect.

Day 3:

This was our last day in NYC and I was so sad, but we did so much! We woke up and went straight to Madison Square Garden then Central Park which was so beautiful and relaxing. Afterwards we decided to go explore Manhattan and then eat at Serendipity 3 which has the best desserts! We had there famous sundae which you can also see in the gallery above. There menus are also huge! It is a pretty restaurant to eat at, I totally recommend them! You cannot go to NYC without going to Serendipity!! After eating we took another subway to Little Italy which is a cute little town to explore and has the best Italian food, it honestly feels like you're in Italy! Lastly, we went to Washington Square Park and saw a little bit of NYU. We then had to head to the airport which we used subway to get there and arrived back in Houston at about midnight. This trip was honestly magical and I cannot wait to go back and even live there one day!

Have a great week and we will talk soon!
